It is impossible to live without failing at something. Unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all - in which case, you fail by default.

“Yet even now,” declares the Lord,
“return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;
13 and rend your hearts and not your garments.”
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love;
and he relents over disaster.
14 Who knows whether he will not turn and relent,
and leave a blessing behind him,
a grain offering and a drink offering
for the Lord your God?

15 Blow the trumpet in Zion;
consecrate a fast;
call a solemn assembly;
16 gather the people.
Consecrate the congregation;
assemble the elders;
gather the children,
even nursing infants.
Let the bridegroom leave his room,
and the bride her chamber.

Joel 2:12

So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in Gods law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God — through Jesus Christ our Lord!

Romans 7:21-25

“Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.” – 1 Chronicles 16:34
If that doesn’t make you happy then I don’t know what will.

The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. ~ Genesis 2:14, NIV

Lets Meditate…Today I Choose…

I CHOOSE LOVE…
No occasion justifies hatred;
no injustice warrants bitterness. I choose love.
Today I will love God and what God loves.

I CHOOSE JOY…
I will invite my God to be the God of circumstance.
I will refuse the temptation to be cynical…
the tool of the lazy thinker. I will refuse to see
people as anything less than human beings,
created by God. I will refuse to see any problem as
anything less than an opportunity to see God.

I CHOOSE PEACE…
I will live forgiven. I will forgive so that I may live.

I CHOOSE PATIENCE…
I will overlook the inconveniences of the world.
Instead of cursing the one who takes my place, I’ll
invite him to do so. Rather than complain that the
wait is too long, I will thank God for a moment
to pray. Instead of clenching my fist at new
assignments, I will face them with joy and courage.

I CHOOSE KINDNESS…
I will be kind to the poor, for they are alone.
I will be kind to the rich, for they are afraid. And kind to
the unkind, for such is how God has treated me.

I CHOOSE GOODNESS…
I will go without a dollar
before I take a dishonest one. I will be overlooked
before I will boast. I will confess before I will
accuse. I choose goodness.

I CHOOSE FAITHFULNESS…
Today I will keep my promises.
My debtors will not regret their trust. My associates
will not question my word. My wife will not
question my love. And my children will never fear
that their father will not come home.

I CHOOSE GENTLENESS…
Nothing is won by force. I choose to be gentle.
If I raise my voice, may it be only in praise.
If I clench my fist, may it only be in prayer.
If I make a demand, may it only be of myself.
I am a spiritual being…
After this body is dead, my spirit will soar.
I refuse to let what will rot rule the
eternal.

I CHOOSE SELF-CONTROL
I will be drunk only by joy.
I will be impassioned only by my faith.
I will be influenced only by God.
I will be taught only by Christ.
I choose self-control.

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
To these I commit my day.
If I succeed, I will give thanks.
If I fail, I will seek His grace.
And then, when this day is done,
I will place my head on my pillow
and rest.

My ” good hair day ” from the last post. I’m at that hard length where it awkwardly sits on my shoulders. I’m also at the length where…I should have got a hair cut 3 months ago… And now I really need a hair cut and there goes 2 inches.. Ya know? :) Well as much as I enjoyed documenting my hair this week I have neglected my time in Gods word! I see the evidence of that in my relationships with people and in my thoughts. I’m praying for forgiveness for my selfish actions and thankful for Gods AMAZING love and faithfulness. I am desperate for our savior! Good night and peace be with you!

Don’t you hate it when your having a good hair day and then life circumstances cause you to tie it back?! :) Here is how I over came that day without leaving any damaging creases to my hair or being bitter at my secret life of waitressing. :)

I took one ribbon, gently wrapped it around my head, and secured it with a bow. There are enough curls that you can tie it comfortably loose and it will stay in tact. Then I took a large clip ( Which I am so glad I can finally use! I have been growing my hair out for some time now…) twisted a large lump of hair and ta dah! My hair is secure enough for my restaurant job but loose enough for a cute do.

The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

…dont mind the little witch comment. Just enjoy the song. :)

Having sin in your life and dealing with it is not the biggest problem, it is the sin in your life that you are not dealing with.

Dont worry about winning the argument, worry about winning their heart!
